「 拾 肆 Ｋ Ｔ 恤 」 事 件 ， 警 方 杯 弓 蛇 影 ， 打 壓 創 意 ， 豈 知 正 如 毛 澤 東 說 ： 「 那 有 壓 迫 ， 那 就 有 反 抗 」 ， 當 事 人 另 開 一 家 商 場 ， 英 文 名 Delay No Mall ， 巨 呎 橫 幅 ， 當 街 高 懸 ， 由 於 掛 得 高 ， 還 暗 射 一 個 High 字 ， 筆 者 看 出 玄 機 ， 功 力 低 一 皮 的 衞 道 人 士 雞 飛 狗 走 ， 認 為 有 「 問 候 老 母 」 的 粵 語 粗 口 諧 音 ， 大 呼 禁 制 ， 或 建 議 改 寫 為 Delay No 貓 ， 發 音 歪 兩 分 ， 以 避 「 敏 感 」 。 Delay No Mall ， 確 實 敏 感 ， 不 過 不 是 甚 麼 粗 口 諧 音 ， 而 是 有 鼓 吹 普 選 之 嫌 。 「 Delay No More ， 二 ○ 一 二 」 ， 可 成 為 特 府 聞 風 喪 膽 的 口 號 ， 港 人 有 七 成 要 求 盡 快 普 選 ， Delay No More ， 有 力 過 「 反 二 十 三 條 立 法 」 ， 隨 時 成 為 下 一 波 爭 普 選 大 遊 行 的 「 大 會 指 定 口 號 」 。 但 是 ， 又 是 否 對 這 句 文 法 正 確 的 英 語 怕 得 要 死 呢 ？ 只 要 腦 筋 少 一 分 中 國 式 的 僵 化 ， 細 味 之 下 ， 就 會 知 道 這 句 話 其 實 一 點 也 沒 有 政 治 威 脅 。 民 主 普 選 ， 是 中 國 政 府 的 心 魔 ， 越 推 遲 普 選 ， 越 可 以 對 「 民 主 」 這 個 中 國 認 定 的 魔 鬼 有 效 遏 制 ， 因 此 ， 與 其 改 名 為 Delay No More 之 阿 Q 式 的 拙 劣 諧 音 ， 自 欺 欺 人 ， 不 如 由 官 方 倡 議 ， 改 名 為 「 Delay, No 魔 」 ， 亦 即 普 選 如 果 可 以 一 再 Delay ， 無 限 Delay ， 民 主 就 可 以 慢 慢 化 解 ， 鎮 妖 驅 邪 ， 一 切 「 No 魔 」 。 因 此 ， Delay No Mall 是 商 場 起 名 之 佳 句 ， 一 雞 三 味 ， 可 以 一 發 揮 港 人 粵 語 母 親 問 候 的 草 根 式 孝 道 ， 二 可 以 爭 普 選 ， 三 也 可 以 推 遲 打 壓 普 選 。 現 在 ， 全 港 親 中 反 普 選 陣 營 ， 由 特 府 帶 頭 ， 一 齊 大 叫 ： 「 普 選 Delay ， 香 港 No 魔 ， 站 得 高 ， 看 得 Far ， 經 濟 增 長 一 定 High ！ 」

香 港 在 英 治 時 代 ， 沒 有 民 主 ， 都 有 經 濟 繁 榮 ， 到 底 是 為 甚 麼 ， 這 是 許 多 人 搔 破 頭 皮 三 輩 子 也 想 不 通 的 難 題 。 答 案 很 簡 單 ， 就 是 幾 位 港 督 的 文 化 質 素 ： 麥 理 浩 、 尤 德 、 衛 奕 信 、 彭 定 康 ， 全 部 是 人 格 和 道 德 的 精 英 ， 雖 然 首 要 為 英 國 利 益 服 務 ， 但 這 四 位 港 督 先 後 治 港 ， 公 正 無 私 ， 沒 有 聽 說 那 一 個 因 為 亂 批 土 地 、 私 售 經 營 權 ， 中 飽 私 囊 ， 貪 了 十 億 八 億 贓 款 ， 回 倫 敦 買 下 三 幢 大 廈 ， 與 英 國 首 相 和 外 交 大 臣 ， 一 起 秘 密 瓜 分 。 香 港 人 在 所 謂 「 港 英 」 治 下 ， 不 需 要 民 主 ， 因 為 英 國 派 來 的 港 督 ， 對 權 力 懂 得 自 我 約 束 。 英 國 的 人 文 育 ， 自 小 就 培 養 對 權 力 的 自 我 約 束 ， 基 督 的 精 神 ， 講 究 對 名 利 色 慾 誘 惑 的 抗 拒 ： 「 不 叫 我 們 遇 見 試 探 ， 拯 救 我 們 脫 離 兇 惡 」 ， 英 人 治 港 ， 政 治 文 化 質 素 優 生 ， 香 港 人 一 萬 個 放 心 ， 與 「 華 人 治 華 」 之 中 國 傳 統 中 的 私 字 當 頭 ， 貪 污 當 道 的 本 性 ， 是 天 地 之 別 。 「 港 英 的 管 治 」 ， 港 督 從 不 叫 區 理 浩 ， 也 不 成 為 彭 文 龍 ， 港 人 當 然 不 需 要 民 主 ， 因 為 港 人 信 任 「 港 英 」 有 能 力 主 持 一 個 公 正 的 社 會 遊 戲 。 換 了 由 津 巴 布 韋 的 莫 加 比 來 當 港 督 ， 港 人 就 會 揚 帆 出 海 做 難 民 。 英 治 時 代 無 民 主 ， 有 經 濟 民 生 的 繁 榮 ， 其 時 的 政 務 官 也 為 這 個 大 前 提 服 務 ， 今 天 卻 爭 民 主 ， 因 為 今 日 特 區 ， 不 是 由 麥 理 浩 當 政 ， 而 是 由 一 個 盛 產 和 珅 的 古 老 政 治 文 化 來 接 管 ， 此 一 時 ， 彼 一 時 ， 對 這 一 切 ， 情 緒 化 地 怒 目 藐 嘴 都 可 以 ， 但 英 國 做 到 的 ， 第 三 世 界 永 遠 做 不 到 ， 很 不 幸 ， 是 眼 紅 嫉 妒 不 了 這 許 多 了 。

陶 傑 短 評 ： 民 主 三 夫 精 神

議 會 民 主 是 很 高 智 慧 的 遊 戲 ， 除 了 憑 信 念 及 人 格 魅 力 ， 還 需 要 第 一 流 的 團 隊 合 作 和 犧 牲 ， 在 東 亞 地 區 ， 只 有 日 本 人 學 會 ， 台 灣 的 民 進 黨 次 之 ， 絕 非 偶 然 。 為 甚 麼 ？ 因 為 議 會 民 主 ， 要 求 參 與 的 人 ， 要 有 「 三 夫 」 理 念 ， 先 不 要 個 個 想 出 位 做 甚 麼 大 哥 大 姐 型 的 領 袖 ， 要 分 階 段 做 到 ： 第 一 是 「 馬 伕 」 ： 要 甘 於 讓 位 ， 必 要 時 牽 引 其 他 更 理 想 的 人 物 出 山 。 泛 民 這 一 次 做 到 了 ， 當 了 陳 太 的 「 馬 伕 」 。 民 建 聯 在 中 方 指 令 下 ， 也 當 了 葉 劉 的 馬 伕 ， 兩 大 政 黨 均 因 為 「 馬 伕 專 業 協 會 」 會 員 ， 拉 馬 各 異 ， 志 趣 一 致 ， 這 是 值 得 一 讚 的 地 方 。 第 二 是 「 轎 夫 」 ： 要 甘 於 為 新 人 抬 轎 ， 抬 時 要 出 盡 全 力 ， 不 要 不 服 氣 。 泛 民 與 民 建 聯 的 轎 夫 表 現 ， 都 各 有 陽 奉 陰 違 ， 但 因 陳 太 終 究 勝 出 ， 抬 轎 專 業 表 現 ， 泛 民 可 得 七 十 五 分 ， 民 建 聯 在 五 六 十 分 左 右 。 第 三 是 「 農 夫 」 ： 農 夫 的 職 責 ， 是 「 前 人 種 樹 ， 後 人 乘 」 。 民 進 黨 的 施 明 德 、 黃 信 介 、 台 獨 先 驅 彭 明 敏 ， 俱 是 農 夫 捐 輸 血 汗 的 先 輩 ， 換 來 陳 水 扁 之 後 人 乘 。 玩 民 主 ， 要 學 會 認 命 ， 只 有 當 初 「 家 鏟 地 齊 種 樹 」 ， 精 誠 團 結 ， 勝 利 後 告 慰 先 烈 。 做 不 到 「 三 夫 」 精 神 ， 不 要 夢 想 沾 手 西 方 議 會 民 主 ， 留 在 森 林 中 互 相 格 鬥 吞 噬 好 了 。

Update from Australia/Dec,18,2007

This is probably the last time I will write to you during 2007. It’s been a great year. I’d like to thank you all again for your support. I always received great support from you, even before I reached the top 10, and the top five. That means a lot to me.I’m enjoying my time in Australia. Luckily it’s not too hot here, so it’s easier to adapt to the summer conditions, coming from the cold of Europe.Scott surprised us by putting a decorated Christmas tree in our apartment before we arrived here. It was a very nice thing to do, and it makes me feel a little bit like I am at home.I enjoy going to the beach every day, although the ocean is usually too cold for swimming. But we can still do some fitness work there. A few days ago, Scott, Sven Callum (my hitting partner) and I played beach volleyball together. It was great fun, but I felt a lot of muscle pain the next day!I’d love to be able to surf, so I am going to spend my free days having a few surfing lessons.

陳 太 初 登 立 法 會 ， 即 遭 炮 轟 ， 「 沒 有 民 主 就 沒 有 民 生 」 ， 反 對 派 反 駁 ： 以 前 「 港 英 殖 民 」 時 代 ， 並 無 民 主 ， 陳 太 身 為 高 官 ， 做 的 是 甚 麼 ？ 更 有 反 民 主 的 狂 熱 分 子 認 為 ： 明 清 兩 代 的 中 國 ， 也 沒 有 民 主 ， 難 道 幾 百 年 來 ， 中 國 也 沒 有 民 生 ？ 泛 民 陣 腳 再 亂 ， 急 忙 否 認 ， 指 陳 太 說 的 是 「 民 主 與 民 生 息 息 相 關 」 ， 不 是 有 這 個 ， 就 沒 有 那 個 。 但 這 句 話 的 意 思 ， 是 「 沒 有 民 主 ， 就 沒 有 良 好 的 民 生 ， 獨 裁 專 制 ， 都 必 定 民 不 聊 生 」 ， 民 主 與 民 生 掛 ， 是 中 國 政 府 也 認 同 了 的 ， 中 共 十 七 大 政 治 報 告 ， 即 表 示 「 全 力 支 持 特 區 政 府 依 法 施 政 ， 力 發 展 經 濟 ， 改 善 民 生 ， 推 動 民 主 」 。 可 見 中 方 認 為 ： 「 改 善 民 生 ， 推 動 民 主 」 不 但 可 以 同 時 進 行 ， 也 必 須 並 舉 ， 既 是 如 此 ， 陳 太 到 底 講 錯 了 甚 麼 ？ 反 對 派 故 意 僵 化 扭 曲 字 眼 ， 只 咬 住 「 英 國 殖 民 地 時 期 沒 有 民 主 ， 為 何 經 濟 能 繁 榮 」 。 不 錯 ， 沒 有 民 主 ， 也 可 以 繁 榮 ， 這 才 叫 東 方 之 珠 的 「 香 港 奇 」 ， 因 為 當 年 香 港 的 領 導 者 是 英 國 。 奇 即 是 反 常 理 的 上 帝 傑 作 ， 人 類 有 史 以 來 ， 僅 此 一 家 ， 其 他 第 三 世 界 國 家 ， 想 抄 也 抄 不 來 ， 而 且 智 商 所 限 ， 即 使 這 些 國 家 有 民 主 ， 因 為 貪 污 ， 確 實 也 沒 有 良 好 的 民 生 。 耶 穌 在 水 上 行 走 ， 就 是 奇 ， 如 果 你 不 自 量 力 ， 也 在 水 上 行 走 ， 一 定 沒 頂 ， 因 此 神 經 正 常 的 人 想 學 游 泳 ， 只 會 老 老 實 實 叫 練 他 蛙 式 、 自 由 式 ， 不 會 學 耶 穌 的 「 水 上 自 由 行 」 的 。 爭 論 「 英 國 人 能 ， 為 甚 麼 我 們 不 能 」 ， 在 優 生 學 上 ， 拒 不 認 命 ， 屬 於 浪 費 時 間 的 幼 稚 爭 論 。

Roger Federer, Justine Henin win ITF World Champions award

LONDON (AP) -- Roger Federer and Justine Henin are the ITF World Champions for 2007.
Federer became only the second man to win the International Tennis Federation's award in four straight years Monday, joining Pete Sampras

Every year brings new challenges, and I am proud that I have been able to raise the level of my game when needed," said Federer, who won three Grand Slam titles this year and reached the final at the French Open.
Henin, who received the award for the second straight year and third time in her career, won two majors and the season-ending Sony Ericsson Championships.
"This has definitely been the best season of my career," said Henin, who was 63-4 with 10 titles in 2007 after skipping the Australian Open for personal reasons related to splitting up with her husband. "It has been a very challenging year overall, but I have stayed positive and proved that nothing is impossible if you work hard."
The ITF is awarded based on performances at both professional tournaments and the Davis Cup or Fed Cup.
Bob and Mike Bryan won the doubles award for the men, and Cara Black and Liezel Huber were the women's champions.

Kaka Wins FIFA Player Award

Brazil midfielder Kaka completed a virtual sweep of annual awards Monday by winning FIFA's World Player of the Year.

Federer wins home title to top year-end rankings

BASEL, Switzerland, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Roger Federer won his seventh tournament of the season on Sunday, beating unseeded Finn Jarkko Nieminen 6-3 6-4 to successfully defend his hometown title in Basel.
Federer's latest victory guarantees that the Swiss will finish the season as world number one for a fourth consecutive year.

Federer had not dropped a set in any of his previous seven meetings with the world number 29 and the Swiss Indoors final proved predictably straightforward.
"It's been a fantastic week, having the support of my home crowd behind me all the way," said Federer after receiving a standing ovation at the tournament where he once worked as a ballboy.
"Securing the number one ranking for the year and doing it here is particularly special."
"In a way it's a shame for the fans when the match only lasts for an hour now it's no longer a best-of-five final, especially after they have travelled from all over the country and even down from the mountains.
"But I think they were all wanting me to win so hopefully I sent them home happy."

FIND RHYTHM
A single break of the Finn's serve at the start of the opening set put Federer comfortably on his way to winning his 52nd career title and his third on home soil -- following last year's Swiss Indoors title and his 2004 triumph in Gstaad.
Nieminen started to find his rhythm in the second set, securing a break point in Federer's first service game but failing to convert it.
The left-hander then won two service games to love, a feat that Federer failed to pull off throughout the match.
But any hopes that Nieminen might make things difficult for the world number one faded when he next came to serve, double-faulting to hand Federer a further break point before hitting a forehand wide.
"I was trying a little too much in the beginning and falling 3-0 behind is obviously not the best way to start against Federer," said the Finn after missing out on what would have been his second career title.
"I started to play better in the second set but it wasn't enough. But I've had a great week and losing to Roger is not the same as losing to other players," he said.
"Saving match points in my first and second round matches and then playing Roger in the final of his home tournament has given me a lot of confidence going into Paris next week."
