Ana beat home favourite Anne Kremer 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals of the FORTIS Championships. The 19-year-old hit four aces during a victory in one hour and 37 minutes. It was world No.99 Kremer who was on top early on, as she forged three break points in Ana's opening two service games. The Luxembourgeois eventually broke Ana in the sixth game. Ana trailed 5-2, but broke back as Kremer served for the set. The teenager secured another break at 5-5, and she served out the set to seal five consecutive games.Kremer hit back spectacularly, winning three straight games herself to lead 3-0. However, Ana broke back immediately and reeled off another five consecutive games to lead 5-3, before serving out the match.Though she was far from at her best, Ana can be encouraged by the fact that she took her opportunities: she converted four of the five break points she earned, an impressive conversion rate of 80 per cent.Second seed Ana will face either No.8 Tatiana Golovin or 25th-ranked Francesca Schiavone in the quarter-finals on Friday.
