


Former Wimbledon runner-up David Nalbandian has been knocked out of the Australian Open by unheralded Taiwanese player Yen-hsun Lu in the second round.
Lu beat the 10th-seeded Argentinian 6-4, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 in a match that approached four hours.
The 25-year-old Lu has never advanced past the second round in 12 previous Grand Slam tournaments.
Nalbandian, who lost to Lleyton Hewitt in the 2002 Wimbledon final, has failed to win a Grand Slam tournament in 29 attempts. The 27-year-old won last week's Sydney International.
